lazygit for MAC
Free, open-source terminal interface for Git: stage lines, rebase, cherry-pick and undo with a few keys.
lazygit Overview
lazygit is a free, open-source terminal interface for Git. Instead of typing long Git commands, you see your files, branches, commits and stashes in panels in Terminal and work with them using a few keys: stage single lines, write commits, switch branches, rebase, cherry-pick and resolve conflicts. lazygit was created by Jesse Duffield, is developed with many contributors, and is released under the MIT license.
lazygit runs in any terminal on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. The easiest way to install it is Homebrew, with brew install lazygit; then open a Git repository in Terminal and type lazygit. It works on top of the Git already on your Mac, so your repositories stay exactly as they are.
Key Features
lazygit turns the hardest parts of Git into a few keystrokes.
- Stage lines and hunks: stage exactly the lines you want, not whole files.
- Interactive rebase: squash, fix up, drop, edit and reorder commits from a list.
- Cherry-pick: copy commits and paste them onto another branch.
- Amend an old commit: change any earlier commit, not just the last one.
- Undo: undo and redo many actions with z and Z.
- Commit graph: see your branches and commits as a graph.
- Worktrees and bisect: manage worktrees and find a bad commit with Git bisect.
- Custom commands: add your own commands and key bindings.
- Pull requests: see GitHub pull requests for your branches.
